Events
Hosting Events in Your Community
The Events Feature allows community members to create, manage, and host events within groups. Events can be set up as private (group-specific) or public (open to all community members), making it a powerful tool for organizing meetups, webinars, conferences, and more.
πΉ Who Can Create Events?
As mentioned in the Permissions Tab, admins can set who can create events:
- Only Managers
- All Members of the Community
Accessing Event Settings
- Log in to the Jambo Dashboard.
- Navigate to the desired group.Β
- Click on Events from the main navigation.
Event Payment Settings (Gear Icon Options)
β Setting Up Payment Methods for Events
- Event payment settings are managed separately for each group.
- To configure payment methods for a specific group, go to:
1οΈβ£ Navigate to the Group Dashboard β Click on the Events Tab.
2οΈβ£ Click on the Gear Icon in the top-right corner.
3οΈβ£ Configure payment methods specific to that groupβs events.
π¨ Note: There is no option to set payment methods globally from the main Events tab in the home dashboard. Each group can have its own payment method setup, allowing flexibility in handling ticket payments.
1οΈβ£ Online Payment Gateways
- Admins can integrate Razorpay for online ticket sales.
- Click “Add Payment Method” to redirect to Razorpay for integration.
2οΈβ£ Offline Payments (Default: Disabled)
- Toggle ON to allow offline payments via cash, cheque, bank transfer, etc.
- If enabled, members can make payments offline, and the admin will have to manually review and approve them.
β Bank Details (Displayed to members for offline payment)
- Add Bank Details: (Fields: Bank Name, Account Name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
- Upload QR Code: Members can scan and enter payment details.
3οΈβ£ Is GST Applicable? (Default: Disabled)
- Toggle ON if GST applies to ticket sales.
- Admins can enter GST Number, State, and upload the GST Certificate.
Creating an Event
After configuring payment settings, admins or community members (if set as permission) can click “Create Event” to set up an event.
Step 1: Basic Details

Event Cover Photo (Upload an image) (Recommended Size: 700 X 200)

- Offline: Enter Address, City, Country, Zip Code, Google Location.
- Online: Provide a virtual meeting link.
- To Be Announced: Event location will be updated later.

π₯ Organizer Details
- Default organizer details are auto-filled.
- Add more organizers if needed.
π Attendance Settings
- Capture Attendance (Default: OFF)
- If enabled, users/admins can mark attendees as present on the event day.
β Save & Preview OR Proceed to Tickets or Schedule Setup (Optional)
Step 2: Adding an Event Schedule (Optional)
Event organizers can add a schedule regardless of whether the event is single-day or multi-day.
π For Single-Day Events:
- Add multiple time slots for different sessions, speakers, or segments.
π For Multi-Day Events:
- Tabs for each day will be auto-generated based on the event dates.
πΉ For Each Session, Admins Can Add:

Add Speaker (Choose from existing community members or add new speakers)

- View All Speaker Details
- Add New Speakers (if they are not part of the community)
- Edit Existing Speaker Info (Full Name, Designation, Bio)

Step 3: Ticket Configuration (Optional)
1οΈβ£ Ticket Limits & Guest Settings
- Total Number of Tickets π (Max limit for all ticket types combined)
- This includes free + paid + guest tickets.
- If exceeded, new tickets cannot be added.
- Ticket Limit Per User (Default: 1, but can be changed)
- Allow Free Guests? (Default: OFF)
- If ON, enter Total Guests Allowed.
2οΈβ£ Tickets for Community Members
- Ticket Name
- Description
- Quantity
- Price
- Tax (if applicable)
- Free Guests Per Ticket (Default: 0)
- Add More Tickets (Multiple ticket types allowed)
3οΈβ£ Tickets for Non-Members (Default: OFF)
- If enabled, admins can create separate pricing for non-community members.
4οΈβ£ Ticket Sales Start & End Time
- Ticket Sale Start Time: When ticket sales open.
- Ticket Sale End Time: When tickets are no longer available for purchase.

Event Publishing & Management
After configuring all details, event organizers can Preview & Publish.
Preview Screen Includes:

πΉ Once Published:
- The event will appear in the Events Dashboard, Group Page (if group-specific), and Events Tab.
- Events will be categorized as Live & Upcoming if they are in the future.
Post-Publish Actions (Event Dashboard)
Event organizers can still:

Hide Event It will only hide the event from users own feed. The event will still remain visible to other members and will not be removed from the community or group.

Comments on Events: Members can comment on an event post.

Event Wall: Organizers can upload images related to the event.
Ticket Validation (QR Code Scanning)
π All tickets generate a QR code, which can be scanned for event entry validation.

FAQ
Can I create an event for a specific group?
Yes, events can be created group-wise, meaning only group members will see the event.
Who can create events in my community?
Admins can decide in the Permissions Tab whether events can be created by Only Managers or All Members of the Community.
Can I enable both online and offline payments for an event?
Yes, you can enable Razorpay for online payments and allow offline payments via cash, cheque, or bank transfer
Can non-members buy tickets to community events?
Yes, but only if the event creator enables Tickets for Non-Members with a separate pricing structure.
What happens if an event ticket sells out?
If the total number of tickets exceeds the defined ticket limit, new tickets cannot be added.
Can I change event details after publishing?
Β Yes, event organizers can edit the event, but some details (like ticketing rules) may have restrictions after ticket sales begin.
: How do members check in at the event?
Β Tickets come with a QR Code, which can be scanned at the event for entry validation.
Can I cancel an event after publishing?
Yes, event organizers can mark an event as Canceled, and it will no longer be available for ticket sales or registration.
How do I ensure my event appears on the landing page?
After publishing, go to the Event Dashboard and hover over the dropdown icon and click on Publish.
