User Guide: How to Register for Upcoming Events in Your Community
Jambo makes it easy for community members to discover, register, and attend events. Whether itβs a paid or free event, online or offline, this guide will walk you through the event registration process from a userβs perspective.
Finding Upcoming Events
Where can I find event details?
If you are part of a group that has an event, it will be visible in the Main Feed and Group Events Section.
You can also check the Events Tab in the community dashboard. Events will be listed under Live or Upcoming (if scheduled for the future).
Event Overview Includes:
- Who posted the event & when.
- Event date & location.
- Number of people attending.
- Interested/Going count (Only applies if the event is unpaid).
- “View Details” button to see full event information.
Viewing Event Details
Clicking “View Details” will take you to the Event Detail Page, which includes:
Event Date & Location
Attendee Count (Whoβs going & interested).
Ticket Details & Pricing (If applicable).
Ticket Sales Timeframe (If sales havenβt started, registration will be disabled).
Event Description & Tags
Event Schedule (Day-wise breakdown, if applicable)
Special Guests / Speakers
Organizer Details
Event Wall (Uploaded images related to the event)
Registering for an Event (With Payment)
Click “Register” on the event page.
You will land on the Checkout Page, where you can:
Select a ticket type (if multiple options exist).
View the order summary on the right side.
(Optional) Add a GST number for the invoice.
(Mandatory) Check the “I agree to the terms of service” box. (If unchecked, an error will appear: “
Warning: Please check the terms of service.”)
Online Payment Flow
Click “Checkout” to proceed to payment.
A window will open to enter Attendee Details:
- First Name (Pre-filled).
- Last Name (Pre-filled).
- Mobile Number.
- This is Me (Default Selected).
Click “Make Payment” to proceed.
The system will redirect to the online payment gateway (Razorpay).
Click “Pay Now” to complete the transaction.
Once the payment is successful, you will see a confirmation message:
“
Your payment is confirmed by the Admin for this event.”
A “View Details” button to check payment details.
A “Download Ticket” button to get your event ticket.
A QR Code (Zoom-In Option) to be scanned for attendance (if enabled by the event organizer).
Ticket Sample Offline Payment Flow
Everything remains the same until Checkout, but instead of paying online, you will see options to enter payment details manually:
Offline Payment Methods Include:
Cheque (Fields: Bank Name, Branch Name, Cheque Number, Date, Attach Receipt).
Cash (Fields: Date of Payment, Notes).
Bank Transfer (Fields: Bank Name, Reference Number, Attach Receipt).
Demand Draft (DD) (Fields: Bank Name, DD Number, Attach Receipt).
Other Payment Methods (Fields: Transaction ID, Date, Notes, Attach Receipt).
What Happens Next?
After submitting an offline payment request, users will see:
“
Your payment is under review for this event.“
A “View Details” button to track approval status.
Once the admin approves the payment:
The user will get a confirmation message.
The “Download Ticket” option will appear in the main dashboard & event details page.
The QR Code will also be available for event check-in.
What Happens After Approval?
For offline payments & unpaid event approvals, once approved: Users will see a “Download Ticket” option on the Dashboard & Event Detail Page.
A QR Code will also be available for event check-in (if attendance marking is enabled).
Registering for a Free Event (Without Payment)
For unpaid events, users will see “Yes,” “No,” and “Maybe” options instead of a Register button.
Steps to Show Interest:
Click “Yes” β The button will change to “Going”.
You can still change your selection to “No” or “Maybe” if needed.

Users can register for paid, free, or offline payment events based on admin settings.

If offline payments are pending, users must wait for admin approval before getting access.

β οΈ Common Issues & Solutions
Why is the "Register" button disabled?
Β This may happen if the ticket sale period hasn’t started yet or completed. Check the event details to see the ticket sale start date and end date.
I registered for an event but canβt see my ticket. Why?
Β If you selected offline payment, your registration is pending admin approval. Check your status in the “My Subscriptions” section or “Event Details Page”.
Can I register multiple attendees under my name?
No, each ticket must be assigned to a specific attendee. However, if free guest registration is enabled, you can bring additional guests (if permitted by the event organizer).
How do I check-in at the event?
Show your QR Code Ticket at the registration desk for scanning (if attendance tracking is enabled by the organizer).
Can I change my ticket type after registering?
No, ticket modifications are not allowed once a payment is made. You can contact the admin for assistance.
