Sponsorships
Overview
The Sponsorship app on Jambo enables communities to collect sponsorships for events, announcements, or other initiatives—seamlessly and transparently. Sponsors can make online or offline payments, receive invoices, and enjoy visibility across the platform.
Installing the Sponsorship App
To install:
- Navigate to the Apps tab.
- Find and click on Sponsorship.
3. Confirm the installation via the popup.
4. Set up the payment method (online via Razorpay or offline).
5. (Optional) Configure GST settings, if applicable.
Creating a Sponsorship
After installation, you can create sponsorship opportunities with the following details:
- Sponsorship Photo
- Sponsorship Name (required)
- Description
- Amount (required)
- Tax
- Number of Sponsorships – to set a limit
- Benefits and Terms & Conditions
- End Date (or select Never Ends)
- Link to Event (optional, for tying sponsorships to events)
After saving, click Preview to review your entry. Once everything looks good, click Publish to make it live.
Viewing & Managing Sponsorships
- Published sponsorships appear in the Sponsorship tab.
- Members can view details, see existing sponsors, and click Become a Sponsor.
- They’ll be asked to fill in their company details and make a payment (online/offline).
- Once the payment is successful, their sponsorship is confirmed, and:
- Their name appears in the sponsor list.
- An invoice is available for download under View Details.
Linking Sponsorships to Events
You can also add sponsorships while creating or editing an event.
- While setting up the event, scroll to the Sponsorship section.
- Fill in the sponsorship details.
- Note: Ensure that the Group under which the event is created has its payment method configured.
- Click Preview, then Publish the event.
Once published, the event will display the Sponsorship tab with sponsor details and a CTA to “Become a Sponsor.”

- Sponsors see their names publicly after confirmation.
- Sponsorships tied to events use group-level payment settings.
FAQS
Do I need to install the Sponsorship App separately?
Yes. The Sponsorship App needs to be installed from the Apps tab before you can create or manage sponsorships. Without installing it, the sponsorship features will not be visible, even during event creation.
Can I create sponsorships without linking to an event?
Yes. You can create stand-alone sponsorships that aren’t linked to any event. Simply skip the “Link to Event” field while creating your sponsorship.
What happens if I haven’t set up a payment method?
You won’t be able to create or publish a sponsorship without configuring a payment method (online via Razorpay or offline). Make sure to set this up under Community Settings or Group Settings, depending on where you’re using sponsorship.
Will sponsors automatically receive an invoice?
Yes. Upon successful payment (online), the sponsor can download their invoice immediately. For offline payments, the admin needs to approve the transaction manually before the invoice becomes available.
