Configuring Wishes and Festivals

The Wishes and Festivals app helps admins personalize and automate birthday, anniversary, and festival greetings for community members. Follow these steps to configure this app after installation.

Step 1 : Access the Configuration Page

After installing the Wishes and Festivals app, a configuration page will appear:

The configuration page consists of three tabs:

1. Birthday
2. Anniversaries
3. Festivals 

Birthday

This section allows admins to automate and personalize birthday greetings for community members.

1.1 Add Template
Admins can click “Add Template” to customize birthday greetings.

This step includes:
Image Selection: Admins can choose up to 3 images (e.g., with confetti and party poppers).
Custom Message: Write a personalized email that will be automatically sent to members on their birthdays.

Note:
If birthdays are not captured during registration, an error message will appear, prompting admins to enable birthday fields in the Registration Tab.

Customize Message Preview: Admins can preview their customized message in a dedicated preview window. 
Email Message Preview: Admins can view a sample of the email that will be sent to members.
Deactivate Birthday Wishes: This option allows admins to turn off automatic birthday greetings if they do not wish to use this feature.

Anniversaries

The Anniversaries Tab works exactly like the Birthday Tab, allowing admins to:
Add a custom template with images and messages.
Deactivate anniversary greetings if desired.
Preview customizations in a similar manner as birthday wishes.

Festivals

The Festivals Tab lets admins manage greetings for various festivals.

Activate Festival

• To get started, click the “Activate Festival” button.

Success Message

• A success message will confirm activation and prompt the admin to “Add Festival.”

Add Festival

• Clicking this button opens a form with the following fields:
  • Festival Name: Enter the festival’s name (e.g., Diwali, Eid, Christmas).
  • Date: Select the festival date.
  • Banner Image: Choose from pre-added images for popular festivals (Diwali, Eid, Christmas) or upload a custom image.
  • Email Message: Write a personalized email message in a popup window.
  • Frequency: Choose whether the festival repeats annually or not.

Save Festival

• After filling in the details, click the Save button to finalize.

Step 4 : Managing Festivals

Once saved, the added festivals will appear in a list view with the following details:

• Festival Name
• Date
• Frequency (Repeats or Non-repeats)
• Status: Toggle to activate or deactivate the festival.

Admins can also:

• Deactivate a festival by toggling the status.
• Preview festival details, including banners and email messages.

Key Features and Notes

1. Automated Greetings: Birthday, anniversary, and festival greetings will be automatically sent to members based on the configurations.
2. Dynamic Messaging: Customize each greeting with unique images and personalized messages to foster a sense of belonging in the community.
3. Error Handling: Ensure birthdays and anniversaries are enabled in the registration process to avoid errors during configuration.
4. Control Features: Admins can deactivate any feature (wishes, anniversaries, or festivals) based on the community’s preferences.
